Luke Nagell, a co-founder and advisor at JPL Wealth Management, brings extensive experience in portfolio management and financial planning to the firm. Prior to co-founding JPL Wealth Management, Luke served as Vice President at Goldman Sachs. In this role, he concentrated on developing tailored portfolio solutions, comprehensive financial plans, and implementing effective tax strategies for affluent clients.

Luke's career began as an investment analyst for a tactical asset manager in Denver, CO. He swiftly progressed to become an Associate Portfolio Manager and a member of the Investment and Risk Committee. After eight years working in tactical asset management, Luke assumed the role of Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for a Denver based RIA aggregator. His responsibilities as CIO included formulating the firm's portfolio strategies, leading the Investment Committee, and managing the daily operations of the portfolios.

Luke's passion for financial markets dates back to his high school years. This interest has led to notable career highlights, such as meeting Warren Buffet and visiting his office in Omaha. His insights have been featured in a 2015 article in Investor’s Business Daily, and he authored “Invest Like a Jedi and Sell Before the Fiscal Cliff,” published on Nasdaq.com in 2012.

Academically, Luke holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Finance and Energy from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado - Boulder. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Montana State University.

Outside of his professional life, Luke enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He and his wife Lauren are parents to two boys, Jack and Ben. Most weekends you will find the Nagells at one of the boys’ sporting events. Outside of kids’ sports, the Nagell family enjoys skiing in the winter, golfing in the summer, and taking their annual family vacation.
